Jiří Šrámek was born in Prague, in 1978.
From 1997 to 2004 he studied medicine at the Third Medical
Faculty of Charles University, Prague, graduating as a M.D.
(Doctor of Medicine, MUDr.). From 2004 to 2009, he worked
at the Department of Spine Surgery, Motol Teaching Hospital,
Prague. Since 2010 he has been working at Prof. Dr. Rudolf
Bertagnoli's ProSpine Clinic in Bogen, Germany. In 2015
he became a senior consultant. Prof. Rudolf Bertagnoli
is an internationally recognized pioneer, engineer and
leading surgeon in the field of motion preservation
technique of the spine (spine arthroplasty, surgical
techniques preserving mobility in the intervertebral
joints of the spine). In 2017 competed doctoral program
(Ph.D.) at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the
Czech Technical University, Prague, focusing on the
development and testing of new implants in spine surgery.
